B TYPE
Tablets with a diameter of up to 15 mm can be pressed with B tools.
The longest dimension of a shaped tablet (oblong, oval, football etc.) should not exceed 17 mm or an area of 175 mm2.

For dies with an outside diameter of 24.00 mm we recommend that the longest tablet dimension does not exceed 17 mm or an area of 175 mm2.

D TYPE
Tablets with a diameter of up to 25.4 mm can be pressed with D tools.
The longest dimension of a tablet should not exceed 23 mm or an area of 230 mm2.

The figures given are guide values as recommended by Ritter Pharma-Technik. Where tablet dimensions exceed the figures given, we test, on the basis of the actual dimensions, whether the tablet would have sufficient stability
